Nearly 30 engaging speakers and performers will take the stage during this unique experience that will unleash new ideas that attendees can apply to their work and home lives. The event will help expand the cultural landscape of Dayton with new stories, insights and discussion.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. TEDxDayton’s inaugural theme is Infuse & Inspire, and the event’s speakers and performers will show Dayton at its most exciting and surprising. They will share stories the audience has not heard before and infuse the Dayton community with ideas that inspire.

TEDxDayton is an event for the dreamers and a do’ers of the world. Live, local speakers will spark deep discussion, and inspire you to make a positive change in the Dayton community and beyond. You will forge meaningful connections with other attendees ― passionate, inspired and engaged people from all backgrounds.

Q: How do I attend?

Answer

Seating is limited for TEDxDayton so you will need to apply to attend. You must apply online at http://www.tedxdayton.com/attend. The application consists of five short essay questions and a few demographic questions. You will not be able to save your answers, so please schedule 10-20 minutes to complete your application. Event organizers will be use application responses to integrate attendees’ personal experiences into the thoughts and big ideas of the day.

Q: How much does TEDxDayton cost?

Answer

Tickets are $50 for the general public and $20 for college students. The ticket price includes lunch. All sales are final.

Answer

    • Mobilize 500 of Dayton’s most passionate people around a series of “ideas worth spreading.”
    • Use crowdsourcing to initiate large public conversations around inspirational and innovative community change.
    • Showcase the intellectual capacity of Dayton via the TED network, which reaches millions of viewers every day throughout the world.
    • Engage the Dayton region in joining a global network of change agents involved in TEDx.
    • Invoke a spirit of optimism, inspiration and innovation in the Dayton region by connecting citizens.
