FAQ

  • What is #TEDxDaytonSalon | Education?
    • 2019 is the first year for TEDxDaytonSalon events. Education, at all levels and ages, is a priority for our community; and we are fortunate to have nationally renowned Educating thought leaders, subject matter experts and interested parties in our community.  Hence, Salon event #1 will be devoted to Education and feature eight incredibly thought provoking speakers.
  • What is a TEDxSalon event?
    • Salon events are smaller, more intimate and informative events centered around a single topic. Salon events keep a TEDx community engaged between regular TEDx events.

WHAT IS TEDx

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxDayton, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxDayton event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.
